Small Shape at the Victoria and Albert Museum

Architecture is an important part of our life. We admire buildings which were created more than several centuries ago. Still, we would prefer to live in a building with usual architecture rather than in a building which is a masterpiece.

Yet, I use many essays writing services and knew in their papers that buildings of the future would be very different from the ones we live in nowadays. I even remember college term paper writing in which the author admitted that in future architects would experiment with buildings of small shapes. The recent exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum was devoted right to the topic of small shapes.

Although the exhibition came to an end, I am still under impression of the things I saw. There were seven different small buildings represented by seven different architects. Each of them was unique and unlike anything I had ever seen in my life before . The aim of the exhibition was to demonstrate the way one can dwell if he/she is restricted by living space. The conception of a small space by architects is the metaphor of emotional level of inhabitants who live there.

There were many interesting concepts. Still, I highly appreciated the one by Helen & Hard Architects . It is really something awesome. The concept symbolized balanced coexistence of human and nature. The work by Helen & Hard Architects was made of wood only. Still, the architects did not use the wood of young trees. By the way, 3-D computer scanning was used in creation of the building.
